Years of poverty and misunderstanding take a toll before a child ever reaches us. That is why medical care at Velugu is not a side service — it is the foundation the schooling is built on.

Every new child is assessed gently and thoroughly. Treatment plans are made, nutrition is restored, and only then does the real classroom work begin.

Nutrition

Three hot meals, cooked with care.

Three nutritious vegetarian meals a day are prepared in our own kitchen for the hostel children, the day scholars and the grandmothers. Festival days bring special feasts — and our children celebrate birthdays too.

Solar power and careful housekeeping keep running costs low, so more of every donation reaches a plate.

Beyond the campus

Free medical camps across ten mandals.

Our medical outreach travels to rural and slum communities across the region — free checkups, spectacles, hearing aids, wheelchairs, crutches and tricycles distributed to people who could never afford them.

It is often at these camps that a family first learns that help for their child exists — and that it is free.
