The Velugu Organization, located in the Kollahbailu Panchayat of Madanapalle Mandal, celebrated World Alzheimer’s Day with a special program. Esteemed guests, Dr. Chandrasekhar, an anesthetist, and Dr. Usha, an ENT specialist, graced the event, warmly welcomed by Velugu Secretary M. Uday Mohan Reddy, Convener Bhagyalakshmi, Principal Leena Kumari, Social Worker M. Geetha, Warden Sweety, and the elderly residents.

In honor of Dr. Chandrasekhar and Dr. Usha’s grandson, T. Yogith, a special lunch was organized for the children and elderly at the Velugu Organization, coinciding with his birthday celebration. The event began with the distribution of meals followed by a cake-cutting ceremony shared with all attendees.

Warden Sweety invited the esteemed guests to the stage, where they provided valuable insights on the symptoms and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease. Dr. Usha spoke about the changes that occur in old age, encouraging family members and medical professionals to approach these changes without fear. She emphasized understanding dementia not as a disease but as a minor change in the body, urging everyone to seek appropriate treatment.
